ZopSmart Technology is seeking a Neo4j DevOps Engineer with 5+ years of experience in Linux systems administration and shell scripting, along with extensive experience in Neo4j. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing automated configuration management solutions, leading Neo4j cluster upgrades, building CDC pipelines, and ensuring data durability and business continuity.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement automated configuration management solutions using Ansible (or similar tools) for Neo4j clusters, ensuring consistency and reproducibility across environments.

• Lead the upgrade of existing Neo4j clusters from version 4 to version 5 including planning, testing, and execution, with a focus on minimizing downtime and ensuring data integrity.

• Architect and build new Change Data Capture (CDC) pipelines to efficiently stream data from Neo4j to downstream systems.

• Enhance and update existing monitoring and alerting setups for Neo4j clusters to proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks and issues.

• Take ownership of the Neo4j backup and recovery strategy, ensuring data durability and business continuity. This includes evaluating and implementing appropriate backup solutions.

• Provide ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and "Keep the Lights On" (KTLO) support for Neo4j clusters.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with Linux systems administration and shell scripting.

• Extensive experience with Neo4j graph database, including administration, performance tuning, and query optimization.

• Proven experience with configuration management tools like Ansible (or Puppet, Chef, SaltStack) for infrastructure automation.

• Knowledge of Java for developing and troubleshooting applications.

• In-depth understanding of database backup and recovery strategies.

• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).

• Experience with data streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka) is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
