TCS is hiring an Android/Kotlin Developer with an experience range of 6-8 years for their Pune location. This role demands strong expertise in native Android mobile app development using Kotlin and Java, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions within an Agile environment.

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency):

Must-Have:

• Strong knowledge and hands-on development experience in Native Android Mobile app development using Kotlin (latest version) & Java is a must.

• Experience working with the latest version of Android Studio, Android SDK, Java, and Android-related tools for flashing, debugging/troubleshooting.

• Strong OOPS fundamentals & development experience in calling web services (RESTful / SOAP) & basic client-server architecture understanding.

• Expert in any one of the modern MVVM/MVC framework.

• Experience in automated unit testing frameworks e.g., JUnit, Espresso etc.

• Proven experience of working in fully Agile teams/environment.

• Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD), BDD & other software engineering best practices.

• Hands-on Technical lead (Android) role experience.

• Good communication skills & Team Player.

Responsibility of/Expectations from the Role:

• Technical design and development of native Android mobile app.

• Work closely with development team and product managers/owners to ideate suitable solutions.

• Provide technical support to the team during the development of the application solution.

• Determines how technology can be applied to meet the business needs.

• Helps determine/design the suitable client-side application architecture.

• Coordinating with back-end developer in process of building RESTful API.
