Mobile Release Engineer - Optum

Optum is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Mobile Release Engineer with 3-6 years of experience in mobile app release management or DevOps. This role involves managing and streamlining the release process for mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms, working in a federated team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end mobile app releases on App Store and Google Play Store, ensuring timely and quality deployments.

• Monitor app performance using tools like Datadog, Grafana, and other observability platforms.

• Coordinate with federated teams across geographies, leading release calls and ensuring alignment on timelines and deliverables.

• Utilize GitHub and GitHub Actions for version control, CI/CD workflows, and cherry-picking commits for hotfixes and patch releases.

• Handle ServiceNow operations including change requests, issue triaging, assignment, and ensuring adherence to SLOs.

• Collaborate with QA and development teams to identify and execute production and regression test cases.

• Work closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams to align on release goals and priorities.

• Contribute to initiatives focused on AI-driven automation and process optimization (preferred).

• Familiarity with AWS and cloud-native architectures (preferred).

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Proven experience in developing mobile applications using React Native.

• 3-6 years of experience in mobile app release management or DevOps.

• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.

• Experience working in agile, federated team environments.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

• Passion for automation, innovation, and continuous improvement.
